Goodnight, Mommy!

Hi, Mommy! Just a few pictures from my afternoon. Daddy and I went out for a bit to run some errands. He visited the new fish market near your favorite restaurant. I don't think he liked the dinner though - he ended up making a DiGiornio's! See how nice I'm playing with Chlobes? We also went out on the swing for a bit. I'm tired so we're going to bed early tonight. I can't wait for you to get home tomorrow.

Love,

Jack

Rise and Shine!

Mommy, I hope you're having a great day on the beach! Daddy made me some of his special homemade pancakes today for breakfast! He made eggs too, but I didn't eat them. After breakfast Daddy and I played for awhile then we went on a trip to a Farmer's Market! I walked all the way from the car to the market holding Daddy's hand. All of the people there thought I was just the cutest thing!

There were all kinds of breads, nuts, vegetables, and other things. Daddy bought something called Bloody Mary Mix which the guy said was 'the best in the world.' After we walked around there for awhile we came home. I started to get sleepy in the car, but I made it home without falling asleep.

We played for a few more hours and then I ate lunch about 11:30. Daddy made Annie's Mac N Cheese and also gave me some blueberries and a turkey/vege jar. Boy was I stuffed. I was so tired after I ate that I laid my head down on my tray! Daddy knew it was time for me to go to sleep...

I've been asleep for about an hour and hopefully I'll sleep some more so Daddy can rest. Love you!

Also, we're going to see Grandpa Marvin tomorrow for breakfast at a placed called Goldberg's. He seemed really excited to see me. Talk to you soon.

Love,

Jack

Whew, what a day!

Wow, Mommy, what a day! Daddy picked me up as I was making my way around school in the buggy. I saw him when I was in the Harry's market wishing I could play out in the water park with the other kids. Next year!

Daddy let me finish my ride as he talked to Ms. Maria. She said I absolutely love my afternoon rides and get all excited when she brings out the buggy. I ate a lot for lunch and took a nice nap at noon.

When we got home, Daddy and I played for a bit, but I got hungry and walked over to the high chair. Daddy fed me ravioli and I ate every piece! He figured out if he gives me one at a time I won't stuff them all into my mouth and scare Daddy. I don't like scaring Daddy.

When I was done eating, Daddy played my favorite game where he makes me laugh while tickling me. See?! I love laughing.

After I ate, we played for about 30 minutes. I didn't do as well as I did yesterday putting the animal shapes into the puzzle, but I kept trying. I'll show you when you get home how good I am.

I have no idea what we're doing tomorrow, but Daddy said we'll do something fun in the morning. You'll just have to tune in tomorrow to find out.

Here I am playing in the bath with the streets and cars. Daddy says I have really short legs like him but a long torso. I have no idea what that means, but he said you can tell in this picture. Oh, and my head is apparently ginormous.

I sure hope I don't cough a lot tonight so Daddy can relax with his "special milk" drinks tonight. I hope I sleep soundly alllll night.

Love you, and I can't wait to see you!

Oh, and Daddy apparently fixed "the internet" by buying something called a new "router." Problem solved.

Happy Friday!

Hi Mommy! I hope you and Grandma are having fun on your vacation. Daddy said it may rain where you are, but I hope it's sunny enough for you to sit by the pool!

Daddy picked me up yesterday just as I was finishing up my afternoon ride in the buggy. I hope you can see my faux-hawk I was sporting yesterday. Marlene made it extra high for the picture!

After I got home, Daddy and I played for awhile. He made up this game where he tickles me and I just love it! I hope he can record it next time so he can show you.

For dinner I had yummy mac n' cheese, some blueberries, and a few bites of some vege thing. I drank about 3 ounces of cold milk before bed. As usual, I love bathtime. I've started playing with the streets and cars that stick to the tub. There a lot of fun!

Last night I slept ok for awhile, but then around 11:30 I woke up coughing a lot. I think it made Daddy nervous, and I know he didn't sleep well. Plus he said that the dumb cat tried to sleep on his head most of the night and he didn't like that at all! He said she usually sleeps like that when you're there so you better hurry up and get home so Daddy can get some rest!

I love you, Mommy. I miss you tons and can't wait to see you in a couple of days.

P.S. - Daddy said that there was some deposit into your bank account from Inventiv for like $1,100. Any idea what that is?

Love,

Jack

I'm baaaaaack!

Hello Mommy! I do hope you're enjoying your vacation (without me or Daddy) in the Bahamas. I don't know what the Bahamas are, but Daddy tells me it's a place with lots of fun stuff to do. I sure hope I can go there one day with you and Daddy. If it's anything like the place we were a few weeks ago I can't wait to go!

It's been great being with Daddy while you're away. I've been on my best behavior, and Daddy has really enjoyed me not throwing temper tantrums all the time. I just get so sad when I see you leave so I cry. Now that you're not here, I can just relax and concentrate on having fun with Daddy and giving him lots of hugs!

Daddy picked me up from school yesterday around 5 p.m. I was out in the buggy, and since I don't like to be interrupted during my afternoon ride Daddy talked with Maya, Gladys, and Dora for awhile. Once I got back we headed home.

Dinner was yummy! Daddy made some ravioli and put his special pasta sauce on it so it didn't taste like cardboard. I ate the whole thing! Here I am eating and making a mess. If you look closely you can see the pasta sauce in my hair. I like it when Daddy feeds me because he lets me rub everything onto my head and in my hair. I mean, after all, I'm going right up to the bath right!?

During bath time Daddy noticed I had a scrape on my leg. See? I don't know how I got that mark on my leg, but I bet it was from playing outside or at the water table at school. I don't think Chlobes did it, but who knows!

I drank about 3 ounces of milk (cold!) while I was playing after dinner and before my bath. Daddy tried to give me more after bathtime, but I was too tired. I coughed a lot during the first few hours I was sleeping and that always makes Daddy nervous. I don't think he wants to have to clean up my throw up anymore. Don't worry, I'll save that for when you come home!

I love you tons, Mommy, and I can't wait to see you in a few days. Have fun!

See you tomorrow!

Mommy,

Daddy said that you were coming home tomorrow. I'm so excited to see you. I just hope I sleep all night so the morning hurries up and gets here. I'll be in day care tomorrow, but feel free to come by and see me at your convenience.

Daddy and I had a fun day. I wanted to get a jump on things early so I woke up around 5:30 this morning. Daddy had a warm bottle waiting for me and we played downstairs for awhile. I took my usual hour and a half nap.

After I woke up we went out for a bit to Whole Foods. Daddy bought some yogurt for me, and we headed home. He got a wild hair and thought I was ready to try that turkey/veggie thing he made me try a few weeks ago. And surprise! I actually liked it after he just put some on my tray and let me pick it up myself. While I liked it better than last time, I most enjoyed squishing it all between my fingers, spreading it all around the tray, and getting it in my hair and on my head. I can't wait to try spaghetti-os! Better have some plastic down for me when I have that!

After my nap this afternoon we went out to Target around 5. Daddy and I played upstairs until it was bath time. He thought it was funny letting me run around in my room without any clothes on. Look!

Ok, I'm sleepy so I'm going to go to bed. I love you and can't wait to see you tomorrow!

Love,

Jack

Ma ma ma ma ma...

Mommy!

I've been practicing saying your name all day! Ms. Gladys at school said I was talking all day saying your name. I guess that means I miss you lots! Daddy picked me up today, and I was so happy to see him. I ate all my food and bottle and didn't get sick once. I made some butterfly art that Daddy hung on the refrigerator for you to see when you get home to watch me all weekend on Friday!

Here I am playing with my favorite toy. See, you don't have to spend money buying me toys. I'm happy with the spatula.

After Daddy picked me up, we played for about an hour and then went to take a bath. I love that my little bath is in my room. That way I can go right from the tub to my pj's for my bottle. Daddy was in a great mood because he said that his "interview" went well. I don't know what that is, but he said that if we ever want to move out of this house he needs it to have gone well :)

I hope you're having a great time in Pennsylvania learning lots of stuff. I can't wait to see you in a couple days!

I Miss You Mommy!

Mommy,

You've only been gone for one day, but I'm ready for you to come home! Daddy and I had a great day together. We played all morning, and I showed him how I could make Scout the Bear talk by pushing his paws! I slept for a bit in the morning, but after I woke up, Daddy fed me a bottle and then we went out to run some errands.

We went to the bank, and the lady at the counter asked me if I was a girl! Seriously, do I look like a little girl? I was even wearing jeans and a blue shirt!

After the bank, we headed over to the Vital Records Department so Daddy could get my birth certificate. However, it was really crowded so we left. Daddy said it was "worse than the DMV" whatever that meant. I was excited to get home because Daddy has been teaching me how to push the garage door button closed. He held me up to the white button and I pushed it all by myself! I'm a genius Mommy.

After lunch we played upstairs. My nose is really stuffy and I've been coughing a lot. I was tired so Daddy put me to bed around 1:15. I slept for two and half hours! After I got up, Daddy surprised me by giving me a nice warm bottle for a snack.

We packed up the car and went to get a suit Daddy is going to wear for his interview tomorrow. He tried it on, and I think he looks great. Hopefully he'll do well. We went to a store called Trader Joe's which Daddy hates. He doesn't understand how it stays in business, but because it was right next to Jos. A Banks we walked over there. This is me at Jos. A Banks!

He got a few things for dinner, but I could tell he wasn't pleased with that place. I told him we could go to Publix, but he said he'd go tomorrow after his interview.

The afternoon was great - we played downstairs, I showed him how I like to put my shapes back into the box, and Daddy had a surprise for me! He said that I had my own house, and I can spend time in it whenever I want. See!

Soon after I tired of my house (about 5 minutes) we took a bath. I love the new toy you guys got me where the water shoots out of the boat. Daddy put me in the small bath but in the bathtub in my room. I think that works best because I didn't try to climb out after 5 minutes like I have been doing.

Daddy fed me, and as he was putting me down my tummy started hurting. I'm sorry Mommy but I couldn't help it. I threw up all over the rug AND in my crib! Daddy put me on the floor while he took off the bumper and changed the sheet. I think I threw up all my dinner, but I went to sleep eventually. I am going to try my hardest to sleep all night so Daddy can rest before his interview. Tomorrow I promise to be on my best behavior at daycare.

Oh, I almost forgot. Daddy said he found TWO pacifiers in the diaper bag so now we have four again! Yay!

I miss you, Mommy! Come home soon!

Nap Time

Mommy,

It's 3:15 and I've been sleeping since about 1:30. Whatever I have is sure making me tired. I've been going to the bathroom a lot today, but I haven't thrown up since last night. The doctor wants me to keep drinking fluids like Pedialyte instead of formula, but as you know I don't like anything but very warm formula!

Daddy took me out for a bit today. We went to Whole Foods where I showed him what kind of cheese to buy. See!

I had one other surprise for Daddy today. When he was changing me he saw some brown flecks of something in my mouth. He was worried that I had eaten something I shouldn't have. He was right! I have recently begun grinding my teeth on my crib walls. I love the taste of wood and furniture finish! Daddy said we need to figure out a way to keep me from doing it since I've grooved a few nice lines in the wood. Oops - bye bye resale value!
Don't worry about me while you're in Dallas. Daddy has me all taken care of. I just hope I can go to sleep tonight so he can get some rest.
Love you!
Jack

What a night!

Mommy,

It's about 5 a.m. and I've just fallen back asleep after waking up for a bit. I'm sorry to have worried you and Daddy tonight. I'm not sure what I ate, but my tummy did not feel good. I know I scared Daddy when I threw up while I was sleeping. He came and changed my sheet and put a new one all while holding me.
Daddy rocked me for a long time in the chair and walked around with me. I still didn't feel well so he went and warmed up a bottle really warm just how I like it. I drank almost all of it and then got so tired. I fell asleep around 11 p.m. and have slept ok most of the night. I'm not sure about Daddy though. I think he has been up most of the night checking the monitor.
I hope you were able to get some sleep tonight so you can do great out in Dallas. I love you and can't wait to see you in a couple days! I thought you'd like these pictures of Daddy and I playing earlier tonight. See, I was in a great mood when I got home from daycare!

Hi Everyone!

Mommy,

I'm so glad you're back from your trip. I missed having you give me baths and tuck me in at night. Daddy and I had such a great time while you were away, but I love having both of you there to play with me!

Daddy told me something that surprised me today. He said that my little letters to you were being read by other people in our family! I didn't even know what "grandparents" were until Daddy explained it to me. To think, you guys have mommys and daddys too!

I am glad Grandma Joyce, Grandma Lynne, and others like reading what I've been up to so I'm going to try to keep writing to everyone when I can. It's been such a busy week since Grandma Joyce went home, and I still love to do everything she taught me. Also, in only a week I'm getting much better at crawling. Look!

I'm also getting better at playing with my toys. I especially love ones that play music so I can dance to them. Here I am spinning my wheel thingy and dancing!

Daddy and I had a busy day today while you are out doing something Daddy calls "bringing home the bacon." We went to Target to get some food and then had lunch. He tried to feed me some nasty green stuff that I did NOT like. Note to both of you: stick with the turkey and chicken meals in the jars.

I hear that you are dropping me off to spend the night with Grandma Lynne and Grandpa Marvin tomorrow. I'm so excited to crawl all around their house and have them run after me! I may even show them how I can climb up their entire staircase. I promise to be on my best behavior....maybe.

That's all for now. I'm going to take a nap so I can be super rested for when you get home. Love you!

Jack

Goooooooooooooooo Dawgs!

Mommy, what a surprise! Daddy and Grandma surprised me by taking me to Athens today to see the campus! I could hardly believe it especially after the morning I had. I was verrrrry cranky this morning. I think Daddy almost didn't want to go up there, but we ended up going!

I slept all the way up there, and when we got to the campus Daddy drove around and showed me and Grandma where he lived all four years there. We drove around and looked at the city, and then we made our way over the Tate Center. Daddy was saying how much that place had changed. We also went to the bookstore. Daddy bought both you and me presents! I got a cool Georgia shirt to wear this summer. You'll have to wait and see what he got you when you get home.

After the bookstore, Daddy feed me in the Tate Center. I didn't want the formula because it wasn't warm, but luckily Grandma Joyce found a lady who let her use a microwave to warm it up. After my bottle we went over to the Arch to take some pictures.

After that it was time to head home. This afternoon I didn't want to sleep at all probably because I was so excited about seeing UGA. I am also teething so thank you for telling Daddy to get me that cold teether from the fridge. I did amaze Daddy and Grandma Joyce by climbing up ALL the stairs from the basement up to the living room!

I can't wait to see you tomorrow! Even if I'm sleeping will you come in my room and give me a kiss?

Love you!

Jack

Mommy,
What a day! I know I told you about my long nap, but I even slept a lot this afternoon. Earlier this morning Grandma Joyce was trying to get me to walk. I thought about it, but then I figured I'd wait for you to get home before I start walking! Here I am trying to take a step. I still have a ways to go so don't worry. You will be there when I take my first steps.

At lunch Daddy let me eat without any clothes on! I didn't spill at all, and I ate a vegetable and all of my yogurt. I think Daddy is running low on food so you better be sure to get me some more this weekend!
After we went for a walk to get the mail, we played outside for awhile and then I hung out in my bouncer. Bath time was great, and Daddy put some suds on my head. I kept trying to get out of the bath and loved splashing Daddy and Grandma Joyce. Only a few more days, and I get to see you! I love you and miss you tons. Can't wait to see you on Friday night!

Love,
Jack

Nap Time!

Mommy,
I just thought I'd let you know I'm still sleeping even though Daddy put me in my crib at 9:15! Daddy finally put my sleep sack on me for my naps. It keeps me warm so I don't wake up as easily. If I could talk I would have told him this weeks ago!

Here are a few pictures of us from this morning. Hope you're having a great day!

What a day!

Mommy,

Wow, what a busy busy day! Daddy dropped me off at daycare today, and then he told me he was going to get Grandma Joyce! They came to the daycare to see me in the afternoon, but I was sleeping. I knew they were coming and tried to stay up to see them, but I was just so sleepy after painting and playing with everyone.

They came back and got me, and then took me home to play. Grandma Joyce loved taking a tour of the daycare. She thought it was the nicest one she's seen!

While I was at daycare, Daddy and Grandma surprised you with something. Look!

After I got home we played for awhile. Grandma Joyce just couldn't believe how much I could move around! We had a good time, and then it was off for a bath. Grandma helped while Daddy gave me a bath for 10th night in a row! It's like I won the lottery! I only drank about 5 ounces of formula, but I was so sleepy I wasn't that interested in it.

Only a few more days! I can't wait to see you on Friday. Finally, here is something that will make the days go by even faster! Here is Grandma making me laugh after my bath!

Love,
The Bugglies

Sorry Mommy!

Mommy,
Daddy told me this morning you were sad because I didn't post a lot of updates yesterday. I was just so busy at daycare I didn't have time! I had some time this morning to use the computer lab at daycare so I'm writing you now. I'm really excited to see Grandma Joyce later today.

Also, Daddy was telling me last night as I drank my bottle that the night before he was making dinner in the oven and the smoke detector went off! Apparently some food had dripped down onto the oven floor and it smoked a little. I didn't even wake up! Daddy was frantically trying to wave a pillow under the smoke detector to get it to shut off before it woke up. Never fear - didn't even stir! Daddy says I must have gotten your talent of sleeping through anything.

I was up early this morning showing off how well I can stand in my crib even when it's 5 a.m. and pitch black!

Here I am this morning showing Daddy how sturdy the bookshelf is that he attached to the wall. I can't wait for you to get home to read me a story from one of these books!

I like the time before I go to daycare when Daddy lets me run around without any clothes on. I showed him how I can stand next to the ottoman and then I wanted to pet Chloe. She didn't like that much.

Have a great day at training, and I can't believe it's only a few more days until I get to see you! I love you!
Jack

Monday, February 28, 2011

Hi Mommy! It is raining cats and dogs here tonight. I hope we don't lose power while I'm sleeping. I had a very fun day today at daycare. I played with my friends and crawled all over the room. When Daddy came to pick me up I was just waking up from a nap. I heard his voice and turned and looked right at him!

When we got home I showed Daddy the art I made for you in school today. Here's a picture! As you can see, I designed a butterfly and car.

Right before you called us on the computer, I was putting the finishing touches on a message to you on the floor! Surprised you say? I mean, how do you know if I can read or not? I can't talk yet! Of course you won't know! What do you think I've been doing all those nights you play Scout's book to me or Daddy tells me stories about heroic madballs named Goober? I've been listening and learning, that's what!

I'm excited for tomorrow since Grandma Joyce is coming up to visit with me. Daddy said we have lots of fun things planned so I can't wait to tell you all about it! I miss you a lot, and I can't wait for Friday.

Love,

The Jackal
